    Hi,

I fitted some Woodpecker Goodrich Ecru oak flooring some years ago.

It was very nice to work with and great quality.

There are however a couple of patches that need a light sanding repair and I'm keen to match the original finish as far as possible.

I have tested some Osmo Polyx matt hard oil already but found it a bit off. Can anyone recommend a matt lacquer that might work better?

    Thanks,
    Ben.

Hi Ben, I usually get best results and closested to "raw" oak finish with Blanchon Original Wood Environment - Bare Timber but its an oil. If it has to be a lacquer then clear bona extra matt HD or Loba have good results. in the image the plank with the question mark is the Blanchon and on the left is Bona (Split as I had an issue with Matt Batches).

Hi there, thanks for sharing your experience and advice on those options. I will take a look at all those and run some tests to see what works best.

From the photo you've added I would say the Blanchon is probably the better match, let's see!

    Cheers,
    Ben.
