The builder installed the subfloor (rigid insulation under a caber/particleboard subfloor) &amp; the kitchen fitter installed Howdens click LVT on top. Both are floating floors.<br />

Looking for some advice please.  We did a whole house refurb last year and have had issues with the 80sqm amtico floor installation which fills the downstairs since we moved back in November 2021. <br />

I&#039;m renovating and extending a 1930s house.  Most of the house had uninsulated (and very draughty!) suspended floors with a concrete floor in the small kitchen.  The old kitchen floor has now been removed and a new damp proof membrane and concrete laid.  The suspended floors have been lifted to fill between the joists with PIR insulation, chipboard flooring has then been placed on top.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi, just had a Karndean Van Gogh gluedown tile fitted in the kitchen with 3mm wide design strips. The strips all are very slightly raised and running your finger against them you can feel a sharp edge. Is this normal? Fitted by an authorised fitter and all prep done as per manufacturer recommendations. The strips all appear to be slightly ‘u’ shaped so not sure if that’s where the problem lays. looking at landing and stairs carpet and I know there are many variables, however just want to sense check my thinking.<br />

I’ve attached a picture drawing not to scale, however measurements are correct.  My simple view is that if the carpet is 2.5m wide and 10m long then this should be enough to (give or take) to cover the attached including stairs. I’ve been working on a large flat on the ground floor which was repurposed from its original commercial use. The owner has jumped the gun a bit with building regs sign off and whilst the majority is straight forward I’m concerned about the block and beam floor which is self standing up to the exterior wall on one side (but not with the beams into the brick work.)<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[We have just had stick down LVT installed in our kitchen and are not happy with the finish. Please could we get some advice on the following:<br />
- Glue residue left on flooring and on edges of tiles that was not removed by the installer<br />
- Hairline gaps between tiles that are noticeable <br />
Our screed and flooring is nice and level. The tiles are off white in colour so you can see a grey line where the tiles have not been butt up properly together.<br />
