The Experienced Worker Card is only valid for one year and in non-renewable without an NVQ.
Which CSCS card / NVQ do I need?
* For a red "trainee" CSCS card you need to complete the "touch screen Health & Safety test" and register for an NVQ.
* For a blue "skilled worker" CSCS card you need to complete an NVQ at level 2.
* For a gold "skilled worker" CSCS card you will not need to complete an NVQ at level 3.
If getting started on the road to CSCS seems complicated or just too...
Will I be able to fit on site with this normal card, or will I need the Red one ?
I phoned some agency up that is doing some work in Notts and he wasn't bothered which card as long as it was a cscs.
Too late to change as it is on Thursday. Cheers Dave

You can arrange a test via the interenet, on the sites listed above, however, if you do it by phone you maybe able to find another testing station that could test you quicker.
So, yes nobody likes being tested, so a tip, get hold of a copy of the CITB consruction skills pc cd-rom, this will help you so much, giving you all you need to know to breath a bit easier.
