I&#039;ve recently have 3 stairways and my living room carpeted (by taxi&#039;s &#039;approved&#039; fitters) I&#039;m not convinced they&#039;ve done a good job! But who am I to say, when I don&#039;t have a clue<br />

Found a fitter, said he&#039;s Amtico-trained and works with another guy who helps him fit. Job&#039;s taking 3 days; cost £1650, 31sqm to fit.<br />

His process was:<br />
1. Inspect floorboards<br />
2. Lay SP101 6mm ply; secure to floorboards using U-shaped staples using air-compressed nail gun. Lots of staples everywhere.<br />
3. Apply this &quot;special&quot; sticky transparent green liquid with a roller<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Just completed a job of Amtico form parquet &amp; Victoria first impressions carpets with the legend Spacey who come down for a week to help.<br />
<br />
A lot of work in this one as the screed had lignite in it.<br />
So got a ardex spec of grind floor , epoxy primer with sand blinding. Then ardex CL smoothing compound.<br />

I have spoken to company reps and even they do not know  is there a shortage of latex or something ? Even some of the top end 80 wool 20 percent tufted twists are shocking compared to a few years ago  oh don’t get me started on woven carpets shocking quality and another 5 percent increase from April sorry am I...<br />
