Ok cool, so if I get the protimeter aquant, that would tell me whether or not I need to do a proper damp test with the box or drill n plug, so green being dry and yellow borderline. So if yellow for example a waterbased is a deff no no but could use a moisture tolerant latex and lay a floor and gamble so to speak?
The scale on scan mode means absolutely jack **** It only gives an indication so you know the best place to carry out a test You need to know what the RH% is & the only ways to find out is with a humidity box Or a probe in the floor
Ok ok I see, scan the floor flashes green u still leave a box down ? Or are these protimeters scan mode like you said don't mean jack and are worthless ,but only to find the wettest point ? To leave the box thanks for all then advice by the way
I don't use box's unless there's ufh I use probes & take the reading with an mms Scan the floor first with mms
Pretty much Yes your taking a reading from in the slab rather than waiting for moisture vapour to rise up to the box British standards says to leave for a min of 72 hours either way
Mms2 is one of the best tools ive bought. I got it mega mega cheap so bought 3 of them (obviously sold the other 2)
I'd sell mine but knowing my luck my other would break. There is a lad on my face book page welling one. If you on Facebook send me a message and I'll tag you in post
I'm not on Facebook mate. I want something decent just not sure infant to pay the full whack of £700 for the amount of use but I do need one.
