What's a good way to remove it without damaging the floor covering? Basically a job i went to look at have had a Karndean looselay floor fitted over Amtico tiles. Tiles are cut a fraction short in places. Tiles need a good shuffle too. So customer wants me to take the glue off. Would Fball solvent work?
why do they want the adhesive removed ? I would say any solvent based product would remove it with a machine and scrub pad.
Because tiles are lipping, cut short and they aren't paying the company and want to to do floor again in HT. I am waiting on a reply to see if it can be used over existing tiles with looselay
Guess they wanted to keep the antics tiles? How did they let the guy tackifier it all Id they wanted them kept :s
looselays rubbish anyway. I can understand the client not being happy with short tiles but every fitter I've spoken to has had problems with tiles lipping.
Had this happen on so many looselay jobs. We were advised to stick the last lot with universal. It solved the problem.
