How do you cut your laminate floors? I've been using Exakt saw for long cuts and sometimes end cuts chop saw for end cuts jigsaw for curved and short cuts As laminates top layer is strong it wears the blades out quick so thinking of getting a guillotine now. There are quite a lot out there. Which one do you have or how do you cut yours?
Most laminates have aluminium oxide in. That and the resins from the mdf/hdf are what wear the blades so quick.
Daz ive got the magnum shear 51cm and can honestly say its brill wish i bought it 10 years ago when i were doing loads of laminate i did get mine for a song at £200 off ebay though, ive cut laminate and lvt with it and the cuts still great on lvt. 2 downsides to mine its really heavy its built to last but if your into keeping fit its a plus, both side rails are screwed down an can come out of square and i havent got a side clap for 45 degrees or 90 dont know if you can get them for my model. It does speed up the process of fitting no dust and i just use the jig for the 1st and last rows. You can get the smaller ones bullet tools.
this one, cheeky bid been on years http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bullet-Tools-Laminate-Wood-Flooring-Cutter-Guillotine-600mm-24-inch-USA-/301520417659?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item463404737b
