So what do you do with left over screed? Where do you clean your buckets? Do you wash an tip in grid.
I tip left over screed in an empty screed bag and dump off in the next job I'm on that has a skip. I don't clean my bucket till its dried then scrape out with my trowel.
If I do have screed left then the remaining gets tipped into an old bag then fill up my bucket half way from my gorilla bucket already full of water (for my spikey) then scrub the hell out of it with an old brush then keep transferring between the 2 until I have it nice and clean. By then its just a little sandy at the bottom of the gorilla bucket so it goes down an outside street drain 99% of the time....if not then just gets poured into the skip! The only day I might not be arsed is on a friday afternoon when I should have been finished hrs ago. Hate leaving the bucket to bang and scrape out, can be time consuming and end up smashing an hole through it on a cold morning!
Into the old screed bag then wash bucket with a cloth.. Then down the road drains with the water .. Nice and easy and clean for next job
Bin bag in empty clean 500 micro bucket then pour left over screed in tie up and leave to dry then drop bucket upside down and falls out clean. Mixing bucket clean out with water I always keep 50 litres on van. Also have a 500 micro bucket with pin holes in bottom when cleaning out mixing bucket with water pour water and screed cleaned from bucket in to it dirty water will run out leaving sand in bucket which chuck in bin next day stops people moaning if they see you pouring down drain it's only dirty water no worse than cleaning your car
It is and does what it should do. You tip your latex in and once set you literally just turn it out and the glove is clean. You're left with just a lump of screed.
