    Hi

Is it best practice now to buy carpet underlay separate from when/where you but your carpet. Previously we have always just purchased our underlay from Carpetright at the time of buying the carpet... Can anybody suggest the best places online to buy some new carpet underlay?

    Many thanks

  2. I'd avoid carpetright altogether to be honest, as there mark ups are scandalous, and try and find a decent local independent shop/fitter to provide all materials and advice, as I've seen in the past online retailers can send b grade products and also it can get messy should a problem arise as to who's responsible!

in regards to buying from carpet right then yeah dont buy gripper underlay and bars from there, if you go in a independent id let them supply the lot.

its bad enough buying carpet from carpet wrong, paying a seperate fitter(thats 2 contracts you have) then getting a third supplier for underlay (3 contracts) guess who gets blamed when theres a problem,
One suppliers one contract end of!

you would cry if you knew how much margin carpetright put on their underlay!

often the best deals can be had when you buy the lot from the same person/company
