thats the way the shop had arranged room sie 25ft long 14ft 6ins wide so they did it it 2 4 mtr pieces. best was the fitter hadnt even trimmed the selvedge just butted up.
I am not a professional tiler but am quite handy and have done some tiling in the past fairly successfully. I was reading this site for a few tips http://www.approvedtrader.co.uk/?T=Help, Tips and Advice For Tiling a Floor and it suggests the use of quick drying adhesive but I am worried I wont be fast enough to make the most out of it. Do you guys think this is best left for the professionals? I would like to be able to complete the work in a day of possible with it being a fairly small floor area but this will not be possible with standard set adhesive would it?
That is absolutely disgusting, no wonder carpet fitters and floorlayers come under so much scrutiny with dickheads like this around giving our trade such a poor name. I would name and shame the "fitter" that did this appalling job and make sure that he gets a job picking up litter in McDonald's, that's if he has got the mental capacity to do that, I dread to think what his other work could be like..... MAD FOR IT!!!!!!
Somehow its good It will make customers think twice and ask for reference more often and understand better that you have to pay a professional the real amount and stop looking for the cheapest Cheap means no guarantees of any kind
Dont mix too much fast setting adhesive at once mix just for a few tiles at once and before you start mixing make sure you have all the area prepared for tiling
