Ardex recommend 6 hours @ 20degs for DPM1c to be dry enough to accept a smoothing compound... Is this a rough time, or has anyone been able to crack on in less than the 6 hours.. Needless to say.., tight schedule tomorrow..., very early start., and not much to actually do, except wait for things to dry...
The 1cr is 'rapid' as it says in the right conditions. Used fballs the last few times with accelerators and that was just as good. Bloody expensive stuff though... Just PVA it
Never ever ever go over a dmp when it's still sticky even a little It's will all blow off the floor I'm talking from experience Been there got the t-shirt and the bill
After my experience I called Ardex and they said always make sure every layer of what ever is completely dry before another layer of anything is applied
not great when it's on your trainers, or it comes off and stick to your hand.. oh .. that's not sticky that's wet.. lol
Was it water based or Na that blew? I've put 1200 over f76 when it was still tacky and not had problem, like Daz says I thought it was better to go over when tacky!
It was a sub job a long time ago RS sandwich The Dpm was solid but slightly tacky primed with p4 All cracked to hell NA probably would have survived but I've never taken the risk since plus you've got the chance of the Dpm pulling off on your feet which are expensive foot prints to patch up
