I have used feather and it was fine, I did wonder though as obviously ones gypsum based and the other is cement based, to be fair I do think 1100 has some cement based properties in it mind as its like chalk and cheese between 1100 and say uzin nc110
Yeah problem I have is we have karndean on it. It's blown in some places where the feather is and karndean are claiming you can't use them together. The job has underfloor heating and the karndean is expanding to much from it causing it to rip off the floor. Not all areas but some. cant even put in a new plank as its expanding so much a new plank doesn't fit in. There blaming it all on the fact feather is used with the 1100. Karndean sticks to the feather, the feathers no longer stuck to the floor. The area with no underfloor heating has no issues.
Learn something new everyday wasn't aware of having to prime prior to feathering on gypsum, makes sense mind when you think about it
Cheers. Abit frustrating when you phone technical for help, and tell you otherwise. Guess we shoulda got it in writing
Yeah kinda.... The problem with some manufacturers is that they don't look further than their own products. Floorskills are unbiased and cover several manufacturers so within the real world things can be done... Would be interesting to see if you were to go on a manufacture subfloor prep course whether this subject would be covered...
