Oh I know they won't not want to sell to us but they may have pressure applied by the powers that be to whack on trading tarrifs etc. Either way I'll be happy to be out

Their governments won't allow tariffs to be imposed as they need the flow of our cash inwards far more than we need their carpets. If they did we would source elsewhere. Maybe we could even restart the weaving trade in the UK.

    They need our "smelly pound"

Did you know 60% of the French want out. The EU are scared sh*tless that we will start a domino effect and cause calls for referendums all over the EU.

It would be great to bring a larger side of production and manufacturing back to this country. All the materials are available and those that ain't perhaps we could source with new trade partners within the commonwealth...new Zealand/Australia etc. Only problem with that is the geographical location for distribution, quite literally the other side of the planet :(

China is no longer cheap (not like it used to be anyways). Plus they seem to be very efficient at offloading containers of useless and faulty products to here now, then people are left with very little choice to push the products out to market over here because of the procedures of trying to return it. Been there, done it, bought the underlay and got lucky with the quality etc but never tried it again. Quit while I'm winning ;)

I did the same. Bought a few 40' containers of underlay over, but as you say, the cost saving did n`t justify the risk.

Yeah. You have time it well with currencies as they deal mainly in USD. Then you run the risk of the port/customs running it through the x-ray machine which can cost around £200 if I remember correctly. I've come across some shocking underlays from there which included large lumps of plastic and sharp wire!!!!

And they also run the ships at lower speeds now to save money and conserve diesel. So it really is "the slow boat from china"

Hard call this. Was 100% out a few weeks ago but got mates who own a pub voting in and giving me reasons.
One of them is I have a better standard of living then my dad an grandad. Which is true but I put that down to my wife a teacher an I have my ow. Business.
Saying anything I buy from Europe will go up??? Like Moduleo etc?

Martin Lewis is someone I listen to on his blog as gives good advice. He's voting in.

But I still think ill vote out. Will be watching a lot on to on it next few days.

Better standard of living? I don't think so on that one, most couples to afford a house at the moment have both got to be on the mortgage, back then only one mainly the man.

I've been talking to my auntie who is old enough to be around when we joined and she says that prices went sky high not down, you've got to know your history to know your future and you don't learn anything off young people, ask all the old folk and they will tell you straight they've lived through it, they want out.

You've got to look at the interest rate at the moment to know that we are in a serious mess here and Europe, what's going to happen if interest rates go up a couple of percent? Massive default on mortgages that's what, people got trapped in cheap credit causing sky high house prices, what's happening now? Cheap credit ,help to buy, house prices staying high.

We first joined for free trade that's what it were sold at to the public, now it's we make your laws we tell you how to do things,

Look at Greece they take on massive loans that they were never going to pay back and now they looking in dustbins for food, before the eu they were more or less self sufficient, Spain, Italy, Portugal are close to defaulting.
If you are one of the big guns who are owed a lot of money by these country's it's in their interest for us to stay in and help out with the burden.

We are in a mess no matter if we stay in or leave, the big ones coming

Always do the opposite of what they tell you, that's how I think, I remember a couple of years ago they were telling people to fix on their mortgage because of an interest rise, loads of people fixed, what happened it went down not up, it's all about the money and control of the people.

end of the day the question you need to ask which will answer the in or out for you is simply, would you join the eu if we were not already part of it? the answer frankly is no, its a sinking ship that has a ultimate goal of europe the country not europe the continent.

From what I have read basically in a nutshell is, if you are are working class you will probably be better off leaving if you are a business owner that needs minimum wage workers then you are probably better off staying in.

The welfare system needs further changes too, you shouldnt be able to live on benefits through choice, as people do (I personally know/know of people who do that) in my opinion if you are on job seekers for more than 2 months then you have to do charity work for x amount of hours per week (not interfering with interviews) so that even if you are a drain on tax payers money you are contributing to society, if you refuse you lose your benefits, might sound harsh but there a lot of bone idle people out there and you need to force them back into the routine of work and top up the low pay to the national average for example.

The governments that we have used and voted in for so many years have made the decisions, they have made so many massive blunders and we as the people have just had to endure their bad decisions. For once a choice is left with us. I look at it from a perspective that we should take a risk and go it alone. Too many countries that are part of the EU already, or new countries wishing to join are in a pretty bad state. We have the burden of constantly babysitting them and it's draining us of money that could be otherwise be spent on addressing some of our own problems. I don't for 1 minute believe all the crap about 350 million etc but I do think the fuss with us leaving will spur the other countries such Germany, France who will want to follow suit and quit. Eventually leaving Europe with all the useless countries and mass debt that will never recover.

Very few granted. Just seems that for once we can have a genuine chance to put the country in a position that we would prefer.

But if I'm presented with a choice to opt out of our country becoming weighed down with bailouts for other countries who have run their economy into the ground I'll take it. Free movement around Europe will not benefit us in the long run. A colossal amount of people come to this country and it's slowly crippling us and has been for a long time. The ability to set new trade agreements with countries we are otherwise unable to do properly at the mo may help us. There is no doubt in my mind that they need us more than we need them.
