After dragging my chop saw onto site, then up 9 floors, ready to fit 90lin of nosings, all stock lengths, I then had to spend over an hour, trying to find some 110v power.
No site transformers left in site, so had to go back to the van for a transformer, with only a 32amp one(heavy!). Dragged that in, then found no 240v on either.
Back to van, dragged in 2x 110v leads, and dangled them from 9th to gnd, for a site trani. What a joke !

    Looking at these now http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DEWALT-DC...123676?hash=item41b71ece5c:g:Vw8AAOSwcLxYHbOn

Anybody got any felxvolt stuff yet ?

Not flexvolt but I did buy an Axminster cordless chop saw a few years back, was great while it lasted but when the batteries died I was unable to get replacements as they no longer made them.
Hopefully this wouldnt be an issue with dewalt batteries, price is a bit eye watering though!

Looks like a tasty bit of kit neilydun, I sell the 110v one you have and offset the cost of the new one maybe?

Im a bit of a weirdo with tools. I generally never sell anything, but keep them as spares. Plus all three of my sons work with me, so it will always get used.
I might wait until after christmas, and see if any deals come up.

Hi, looks a good bit of kit but as you probably know a lot more sites want M class dust extraction on saws which is a pain, anyway if I unwrapped that Xmas morning I'd be well happy.

I would have called Quantum, got them to measure all the stairs and cut the Nosings to size and deliver to site. Then with Flexyfix I'd have fixed them in no time at all!!
Seriously though, no need for any power source, and it would have saved you a load of time and certainly a lot of effort.

To be fair, the stairs all have corner trims fitted, so cant be measured until we have fitted them. Its not my job, and the guy im working for always seems to just send in stock lengths. A bit of a pain, but we all work differently I suppose
