Hi guys. Been using 1200 slot recently for bigger jobs of amtico for the main reason you don't have to find water on site and no priming purposes but am finding it to thick. Which is the best compound you find gets the smoothest finish. Water based or whichever?
    Thanks

    It's horses for courses
I use what is the most suitable for each situation

Everything is primed to hell and put down with a pin level and spike. It all goes down good

If your after a brand tho I'd recommend Uzin They do lots of good products

Very rare that a fllor is that flat enough to use a pin leveler though I feel. A screed that's smooth, no trowel marks etc

People keep saying that to me but I find its rarely I can't use my pin level plus if the floor isn't to good I'm putting a heavier coat down any way so from 5mm up the self leveling properties of the compounds kick in

Have you tried shonox? That's all I would use for LVT. Not the easiest stuff to get hold of tho. K11 for stopgap 300 also good
