LG Hausy deco tile

Has anyone used this stuff and what are you're thoughts on it. My local suppliers said they're selling loads of it and the price is fantastic for customers on a budget. I recommend Camaro for any of my customers who can't stretch to Karndean or Amtico and have never had a problem quality wise with it, but would also like a cheaper option too for people on lower budgets but don't want the problems that come with cheaper alternatives. I've learnt the hard way before fitting cheap laminates for customers. Also what other LVTs can you guys recommend as 90% of what I fit is Karndean and Amtico and would like to be able to offer good quality alternatives.

 

Don't like karndean these days my personal favourite is forbo allura, I pay loads of it.
Looks good, and easy to fit.

I'll be giving it a miss then! it's very rare I fit anything these days without finding quality issues, fitted 18x18 signature tiles recently and keeping the bonds in line was a nightmare and don't get me started on opus tiles with strips

 

Opus tiles are fine but not only are the strips different widths some packs have a slight bevel on them some don't, not acceptable in my opinion when you're installing a supposedly premium product.

 

Opus is wank. Tiles come out the pack different sizes! I didn't keep them in my fridge over night but they had been on site for 3 days in perfect conditions before we opened the packs and they were still different sizes? Turd

Whether it's a bevel or not most jobs I've done with the AF strips come with different width strips and some packs have the "not bevel" and some are flat.

 

The last 4 or 5 lvt tile jobs I've done in Moduleo and not had any problems with tiles sizes. Learnt it doesn't stick well to fully set ps on the first job so been using thier own ps now

Not fitted any moduleo stick down only they click stuff which went down fine. Would just like some good quality alternatives to Karndean and Amtico. Granted the problems I've had with these brands aren't anything major, the odd dodgy tile or as I've already said problems with strips, but it's not something you'd expect with a premium high priced product.

Do love a bit of distinctive. Went back to a job last week where we put down chinkapin white plank on ps about 1-2 years ago. Still looking great, hasn't moved a mm!

Another fan of opus.....shhhhh dont tell spacey

 

Fitted some affinity last week and surprisingly looked better than I though.
Budget wise I push camaro, cant go wrong with it imo.
Adore & LG......well say no more.....
Opus im finding is fine with the standard grout strips, dont use their shitty strips meant for it because they just cause pure grief.

Got some custom camaro to fit in a few weeks along with their new beveline so hoping that goes smoothly.

My favourite still is the VG range in karndean, just dont have any issues with it at all.

Also go some nice moduleo tiles to fit to an entire bottom floor of a new build next month.

For me (starting from budget upwards) its, camaro minimum, karndean/expona/distinctive then Amtico if the customer wants to push the boat out....literally

The shop I do most of my work for are a Karndean and Amtico retailer so pretty much everything I do for them is one of these brands. Thankfully most choose VG for a wood plank and as most people say never any issues with it. Unfortunately people seem to love the grey opus tiles with the ivory strip for their kitchens and bathrooms!
Fitted quite a bit of Camaro recently for my own customers and have been very impressed with it, got a full ground floor to do next week in boathouse oak.
Think I'll give all the cheaper stuff a miss, don't want to cause problems for myself.
This distinctive stuff seems to be highly recommended I'll have to have a look at that too. Most of my customers who aren't on a tight budget automatically ask for Karndean or Amtico as these are the brands they know, but would be nice to be able to give them a good quality alternative.

 

It tends to look very plastic. Best value for money is J2. Looks and handles well.
