So how many times do you turn up to a job and it’s too cold to install the flooring? Especially with ufh it’s hard to keep the room temp correct in fact it’s almost impossible to have the ufh turned off and have the correct room temp. So what do you do? Get heaters in there or get the ufh on low and keep it on low through out screeding and fitting?

Get my little box heater going
    Open all LVT boxes
Don’t turn it off until the Ke66  has a hold
Then switch it off And go home :)

Ufh on low is fine for the product I’ve done it a few times but the problem is rapid curing of adhesives Which can prevent it soaking into the surface of the concrete so weakens the bond strength

Just done Amtico spacia job. Floors freezing with ufh off so had it on as low as possible. Using Amtico HT xtra (pink KE66) Was starting to turn after 5-10 mins so had to literally trowel out and fit straight into it.

So what about the levelling work. It’s crap to put down in a cold room but not great on a warm floor either? Still seems bette to have the ufh on low than without tho

You don’t have as much of a problem if your fitting everything dry first but with uhf on you still have the issue of it not soaking into the surface

With UFH on you get the same problems with primers to Rapid curing

I see some people getting caught out with this. Last week looking at a job where the guy thought he was doing the right thing by getting all the ufh turned off before and during all fitting work. We’ve looked at the job which need replacing and the f46 under the vinyl is still wet. Don’t think the floor was dry enough either but when I was speaking to the Chippy I could see the steam from his breath! He was sticking up for the installer saying it wasn’t cold in there!

F46 isn’t a great adhesive full stop any cold and high humidity it fails every time

Haven’t used it for years and never would again F49 seams to have similar issues imo
