So the debate continues with different fitters who some put boarders in first, some last.
Here’s a hallway I laid in Polyflor Camaro on the 45•, boarder with feat strip.
Camaro is a great product to work with & looks top drawer when complete.

Last, I’ve never put boarders in first - Some say that’s wrong, others do the same as me..

    Personally I do
Border first with Woodplank and last with tiles but aslong as you get the same result it’s all good

It’s all to do with fitting techniques Set out and adhesive selection

I always make sure that each section I lay meets the open times with adhesive. When it comes to the boarder, I dry fit the entire perimeter & then glue it separately. I guess it’s just different methods, I wasn’t taught in a 2 day Amtico course, I learnt from my Father & uncle. Their methods have stood the test of time

I dry fit all wood plank
    Dry fit border then glue
Dry fit field cut into border and bevel then glued
Dry fit is always the best way imo

I always dry fit, and I always do border first. I remember a course I attended some years ago, there were 8 of us on it demonstrating our skills. I was the only one to do border first, but we all got the same result!!

It's a bit of both really, diamond lay tiles field first border after, tiles with a decorative border, work on the border first. When I do herringbone I always mark the border fit the field, my reason for this, you can then always adjust the border in or out slightly to avoid a very small fill in. No matter what I do there will always be an element of dry fitting involved.
Remember we all have our own way, the most important thing is to get the end product looking right!!
