Good evening all, just wonder is there any easy way to measure the wear layer of lvt, except splitting the board and using a calliper that isn’t so accurate...? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you know the manufacturer? Check with them? Or it's easily compared between domestic and commercial wear layer....or just use a ruler
Most lvt imported from Asia unknown origin or manufacturer have beveled edges so it’s very difficult to determine the wlr by eye or comparing with other samples... So I always try to persuade clients to avoid that purchase. Agree with Dazlight yes there are products of .3mm wlr better than other of higher class on half price Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cut a piece off and you'll be able to tell. Bevelled looks better in some planks whereas bevelled on others would look better without. I've been doing alot of the fresco oak from the sierra range but think it would look more better with a micro bevel atleast. Karndean knight tile is another example, some look great as they are but would be nice for a bevelled option in the knight tile with some without having to step up in their ranges and bumping the price up. I like the bevel on da vinci but would be great with the same size bevel on a 6" wide plank.
