who’s a fan ? Been using a lot lately due to going over dodgy floors and Asphalt. Going off them a bit though as taking ages to dry.
They go down nice But it’s 48 hours before you can lay on them and adhesives don’t get the best bond especially PS
I like how easy it is to mix up and put down. As you say the drying times can be a bit of a pain. I bough a load the other day and didn’t realise it needs 48 hours before you can fit over it. Not many jobs I can use that on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Went through a phase of using it a couple of years ago. Easy to lay, and clean up tools and mixing station after, but back to my traditional screeds now. Using a lot of Uzin L3 Gold at the moment.
Worth a try, I have been pleased with it. The primers are good too, especially the PE280 fast drying primer, great on ceramics.
I find them ok, I grind the floor, screed it then back 2 or 3 days later if I'm fitting on it... If I'm not then who cares.. lol
Using more gypsum than anything at the moment, fan left after we leave and they’re usually dry for following day, but can be a pain in going more than a skim or 5-8mm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How’s it a fire risk? No more so than any other appliance left in. But it’s plugged into a rcd protected extension with thermal cut out. Oh and suspended above an ice bath just in case it does catch fire Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have seen how many fires are cause by normal house hold appliances? Did not call them hot point for nothing
I’ll make sure I don’t use my hotpoint to help the compound dry then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
