I'm going to look at a new project this weekend, one part will involve a solid wood floor to be sanded and sealed, there are existing clouts/nails where the floor had been previously overplyed.

Anyone on here with experience on this procedure? The job is in Leicester and I'll have a better Insight into what exactly is required soon including sizes etc. Message me if this is something you might want to do.

    Cheers
    Glenn

nails sticking up or just that you noticed they were fixings?
or clout nails were holding the ply down?

Solid plank or parquet? If it’s plank sounds like it’s been face nailed

Could possibly be staples having a closer look. The width of them looked like old clouts!!

Looks that way :(. What's the going rate m2 for sand and seal anyone? It's not something I dabble in to often tbh, prefer to sub it out to somebody who has experience and machines.

I can sell you some machines if you want them. A lagler drum sander, and excellent edger, and bits to go with.
Just sitting in my lock up

Cheers Neil. I don't do that much to warrant buying machines, they only come up a few times a year and I'm always hectic with work. Out of interest how much for all the equipment. (I can always buy the machines and let others do the work with them )

Give me a shout if you want them. I bet the Hummel hasnt even done 1000m
I bought them as we had an ongoing contract, replacing carpet with Lvt. There was also two areas of wood in each store, which had to be sanded and sealed. Soon after I bought them, the stores got sold to a holding company, who stopped the refurb programe.
