Always was a pain buying heat seaming tape. We had a good supplier from Sfs. Paper back but really good. All the other tapes were rubbish. Mostly use koolglide now and the tape is great

Still using gripperrods standard tape .

Bought a box load a few years back , and still prefer it over the gold stuff

I use the gold tape , more glue on it and dries a bit slower in case you need to adjust !

Yeah they’re very good, just forget to put it on when I have a join to do

It’s just so much easier to use. Also get a better join. In particular wool loops on easy backing. Never straight when you cut down the loop. As your only seaming 6” at a time it’s much easier to force it together without clamping or pinning the whole join together. No smoke. If your not happy with a section it’s easy to redo it

Also they don’t have an EU certificate so technically you can’t buy or use them but that may change

That interesting had some Malabar twin loop to do few weeks back was miles out in the middle of the join had use about 5 clamps over about 1 metre !
Still wasn't perfect but sounds like a koolglide would of helped .

Heritage Silver and Heritage Gold are used by us. They are really good. We get 10 rolls in one box.
