This job sounds like a joke. You should of been told costs from the start. Next time I’m on a screed job I might throw a bottle of dpm on it and charge another £2000 sounds great!
They can’t test the floor with that type of meter after the screed. Maybe they put too much water in the latex and the dpm is actually for their fist coat of latex. What they have done is kind of right but they have done not done it in a very professional way. Are you sure they aren’t builders? They work like that lol

This sounds an absolute abortion of a job, please stop now and get an independent inspector such as Sid Bourne out, you would need around 3 tubs of F78 if it was perfectly flat and 22 bags of screed at 3mm thick the pricing is way off and the work sounds shoddy, some pics would be helpful.

They have laid the floor now too! How much is a bag of screed on average...I dont recall as many as 22 bags for the 2nd screed, but I could be wrong.

    Depends what product they used
I’d only need one tub of what i use and still have some left

Depends on the screed, they’re all different prices we refuse to use cheap screeds, dpm’s and adhesives so I honestly don’t know what they’re paying.

    All
Different prices but it would have had to be a latex (hopefully)as it’s moisture tolerant for under the DPM

Some gear is under 20 some is 50

If the floors down and stays down, maybe just negotiate on the extra cost you didn’t expect to have to pay. Keep a close eye on it for the next few months tho

That’s not what it should look like when done properly, looks as though it’s been watered down

F78 is a moisture suppressant up to 95% rh two coat. But I’ve never seen a two coat F78 look that bad.
