Amtico signature pleat design

Hi there, I've recently spent £4200 having an amtico signature pleat design laid through out my ground floor.

I was told to have a border fitted all the way around as it would compliment the floor.

I think it looks a bloody mess! Can I please get thoughts and opinions on this installation

 

I agree, totally spoilt it with that border. Would have looked so nice without.
I was scrolling down looking at the pictures thinking I hope my comment isn't going to offend then I read yours and thought yeah we on the same page.

Looks awful in my opinion.

Are you a fitter at all? I feel completely let down by this.. and amtico are saying they won't make anymore to match at the moment.. if I could get them to make some more.. could it be fixed?

 

The owner of the business.. greg hill flooring swears blind they are the best fitters in Nottingham..

 

In your opinion is it possible to fix this?

 

In most places it is level with one or two small exceptions

 

I'm totally gutted with the work.. it's cost me thousands.. the boss wouldn't even come to look at it until I threatened to put a you tube review on line.. then he's told me he's lost sleep over it.. and that there's nothing wrong with the job! I need to find someone who has the competence to sort this.

 

No.. greg hill flooring in Nottingham who are on the approved list of fitters.. just told me that there's nothing wrong with it.. and it would be impossible to change... absaloutly no Customer service, but amtico haven't been any better.. I've asked the fitter to attend with amtico technical department, but it's an uphill struggle from both. I didn't expect this level of service from what should be a top of the range product

 

Shouldn’t of had the border. Easy enough to take it out and replace the cut planks with full planks. Time consuming and extra cost that the shop won’t want to pay for. Don’t think it’s Anything to do with Amtico. The agreement to have the floor laid with a border is between you and the retailer that sold it to you.

I was convinced on his professional opinion that the border was the only way to go! It looks as though he doesn't know what he was talking about. I was sold the border when I asked for it to run to the wall.. he told me the border would look better and finish the floor. He's also said it's a nightmare to change.. I'm willing to pay.. but amtico have said that they won't make anymore pleat to match... so I am highly unimpressed with them too. They will make more because I'm shortly to make a video and put it on line.. the fittter is on their approved list, they are not helping me.. and I'm not impressed. If anyone thinks they have the skill to sort it I'd be happy to hear from them.
