Basically what he's saying is have a border because it's easier to cut into else my fitters might make a mess of it
No you don’t Your not happy with your purchase It’s your consumer right to have it rectified reguardless what the retailer says
If some one said to me “don’t have it your way, have it my way because it’s easier for me to fit” the alarm bells would of started ringing straight away! In fact it would make me want it done my way even more! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can we see some more pics elsewhere? Over 4grand I'm assuming you didn't just pay that for your hallway
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] Customers feel they can trust Approved retailers and so they should but unfortunately it’s not always the case Tbo I always advise my customer what will look best imo but If they don’t want that I’ll make a compromise from both our opinions not just push something they won’t be completely happy with
That's all well and good... but when a fitter tells you he has fifteen years experience and swears blind it will look better,as a customer of course your going to listen to their advice.. if he does not want to sort this (which he doesn't) I will expect amtico to take him off their approved list of fitters.. otherwise it's just a con from a major company. Amtico is supposed to be top of the line... no matter what you say.. you seem to want to put the blame on the customer... you are wrong.. a customer will always consider the advice of an approved (expert)!.
No it went through the entire ground floor.. the middle it's mostly ok apart from a few boards that run out buy about 3mm it's the border that looks a mess in mine.. and it seems others opinion.
So did they say to you do you want a border? Find it strange a company would basically tell you your having one. I tend to ask a customer if they would like one then should them pictures as well. For me a border looks better when the corners are mitred and you have a design strip put in. I’ll see if I have any pics.
they basically pushed and pushed me to have the border because he said it makes it look like a proper laid wooden floor. I was skeptic all but took his advice as he claimed he knew what he was talking about. I think the border with the pleat design when it's running through a whole floor looks bad.
This was block corners as matching another room. But the design strip helps the border stand out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I haven’t read all reply’s as on the phone But Just wow! Completely unacceptable finish Tbh it’s not amticos fault, it’s 100% a fitter fault. And let’s be honest here, how hard is it to just cut it in without a border? Bad bad workmanship from what’s looks like, a lazy incompetent fitter who shouldn’t be installing top end products.
Aim for refund and start again is my advice. I certainly wouldn’t be getting them back, unless it was to uplift and skip the lot lol
Utter shite. Sounds to me the retailer didn't trust his fitter in the first place and should of sold design strips at the very least. Retailer should be held accountable in my opinion. Can't see any reasonable blame to be held at Amtico, if they haven't got any then they haven't got any. But as Spacey said, there will be some somewhere, and they may have full planks which can be cut down. Good luck
