    Evening all,

Got a customer who has got a sample of some Karndean which is from a range called Monet (KP78). I have never heard of this range. Is it an old range or a new one? If anyone could shine some light on what it is I would be very grateful

If I remember right Reubens was an extension to the Knight Tile range and Monet was the Da Vinci equivalent exclusive to registered dealers as CEA said. Reubens had the prefix KP and Monet RP. I think they just blended them into the regular ranges but I may be wrong

I think Karndean introduced them years ago in an attempt to appease registered dealers who were ( understandably ) objecting to the availability of the regular ranges online.

    They were slightly cheaper.

It wasn't available to normal shops. Was only for the shops who invested in the design showroom. They told us it was limited to one shop in each town. To get the showroom you had to pay out about 16k. You could claim it back on a rebate at £1 per meter. I'm pretty sure it's not available anymore.

They are still running it but you need to check stock first as some of the colours are gone. i just sold some this week, Peruvian Pine I think it was. Monet is the exact same spec as Da Vinci.

Yeah Wirral carpets ( which has closed) sold it and they had the big showroom. I had many customers showing me samples years ago which I had to buy off Wirral.

Yeh both ranges have been faded out but the codes pop up as they kept some of the more popular ones & changed them to s**te tile & DaVinchi & some of the old Renoir are now in the Opus range now as well !

  16. Hello can anyone advise me if I should avoid this? £22m2

    Which ?

  18. Sorry Karndean Monet or whatever it’s called RP78 and RP74?

I like the wide plank wood effect, with a .55 wear level at the least really. Textured and I’m ok with more traditional colours as I have antiques etc.

Any advice? My head is about to explode!

I just an end user with a need of 75m2 wood effect and 55m2 white tile effect for kitchen area.

Glue down though, I don’t like clic.

Avoid knight tile it’s only a .30 wear layer, look for mflor ranges, or m series under the Harvey Maria brand

  20. Thank you I will look at them, it’s a minefield for a non trade person.
