Hello all, I sub for a flooring firm laying lvt, and currently use an compressed air staple gun for fixing 6mm ply to chipboard flooring, in prep for the lvt. Whilst this holds the ply well, I'm sick of lugging the compressor around, so have been looking at cordless options, particularly the MAKITA DST221Z, which uses 10mm wide, 22mm long staples. Does anyone know if this will do the job as they take a different staple to the ones I currently use.

    Cheers!

Buy a 30m hose so you can leave it in the van

Don't use staples either hand nail with ring shanks or use a spotnailer with coils! 6 inch centres and nail the edges at one inch intervals!
