Heat seam sisal? No way, just stick it. Cloud 9 contract is fine. Use it all the time

I’ve not done it for a while but used durafit, system 10 and cloud 9 contract. All suitable IMO.

Don’t heat seam it!!!!!! F3 it and use seaming Cement on the joins.

Doesn’t it show through? I’ve never heat seamed a gel/latex backed carpet. Each to their own

Do you scrape off the latex backing before you heat seam it? Why heat seam it when it’s gotta be stuck with f3? Do you stretch it?

It makes a stronger join, saves any worry with the sisal parting or fraying ,
Glue sisal normally, then put heat seam tape under join on to glue and seam .
Seam straight to latex back on low temp with iron .
In some situations with lots of light it may be possible to notice the tape but I have never had a problem

Also if you use system 10 you need to fix the underlay which kinda defeats the object of it .
When the glue dries it can pull the sisal in leaving bumps and ripples

I don’t like system 10 with naturals full stop! Didn’t even know you could heat seam those backings!
