Just had moduleo fitted and it seems to have moved. Creases have appeared and it seems to be overlapping at the joins. To be fair, the fitter has been back out and isn't sure what is causing it, so will probably need to get the Moduleo rep out. Has anyone every experienced this or know what might be causing it? The subfloors are flat and the house is 20yr old. In fact he fitted hardwood to the hall area to raise it slightly and it looks worse in this area.

It has happened in both areas that is has been laid. The kitchen area is the original chipboard flooring underneath, which is flat and yet the flooring also seems to have bowed in this area. I can see from the kick plinths that it isn't flat and when I place a ball on it it runs off. The ball doesn't move under the kickplinths, which would obviously indicate that the LVT flooring isn't flat. However, it's the fact that the hall area is also got problems, but has had boards put on top of the original subfloor that would indicate that it isn't the subfloor that is causing the problem.
Excess sub-floor movement possibly, chipboard isn’t a suitable sub-floor for anything in my opinion it just isn’t stable enough. Click system LVT’s aren’t very good we’ve had issues with all of them except Quickstep Livyn. It needs to be checked properly but don’t take the manufacturers decision as gospel they have a habit of deflecting the problems back on the fitter I would recommend getting an independent inspector to write a proper report. Good luck with this. Do you have any light in these rooms? We’ve had lots of issues with moduleo clic. All for different reasons. As far as moduleo are concerned that floorcovering cannot come in contact with any natural day light or yolk or will expand and contract and pull itself apart. It will need to be stuck down if you want it to behave like a good floor should. We won’t use any moduleo clic now as it’s just not practical as a floor unless it’s in a temperature controlled basement with no furniture on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It was brought in by the fitter and done that day and next. The hall has had the level raised, so the moduleo isn't sitting on the original chipboard. The hall doesn't get a lot of daylight (or yolk, lol), so can't see how they would use that as an excuse. It's not even been cleaned yet! It's stuck down, so really shouldn't move. It will be interesting to see what the rep says about it next week.
When you say there isn’t much light...if there’s a window or a door that lets in light they will blame the sunlight. That’s what they said to us. We had a moduleo floor buckle on that underlay over chipboard and they blamed the windows either side of the front door. Was the floor flat? pretty much...was flat to bs standards 3mm over a 3m radius! No chance, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a builder install a subfloor to bs standard. Basically they will find a excuse. Did you take the temperature readings inside and outside? Did you take a moisture reading of the subfloor? In my opinion moduleo vinyl is too unstable to float with a small locking system. Even thier dry back LVT will lift off ps adhesive and has to be fully wet set.
