Hi I am looking for some advice on flooring. We are in the process of building an extension and need new flooring for the kitchen, living room, laundry and hall way (approx 60 sqm). We would like the same flooring throughout. We were considering laminate but are concerned about laminate not being waterproof. Now we are more focused on LVT. The sub floor will be concrete + whatever underlay is required and wont have any under floor heating. We have visited many flooring shops and quite like the look of tegola elite light oak - click from carpetright. I think tegola is the same as moduleo? We have also looked at amtico and quickstep but so far the tegola looks the best match for us in terms of design and colour. In terms of price we wouldn't want to spend more than £30-35 per sqm (obviously cheaper is better as long as quality is still ok) Can anyone advise if tegola/moduleo is any good? If not what would you recommend? Should we be going for click or glue down? Should we use carpetright fitters or get someone local to do it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Graeme
Always go with dry back, the click LVT is horrendous and made for the diy market. Get everything from the same source, all materials, sub-floor prep and installation it makes things much easier if anything goes awry. You will absolutely need prep work doing to the sub-floor throughout, make sure whoever puts in the new concrete base grinds off the laitence around a week after it’s installed, then it’s a minimum of 4 weeks before your flooring installer can do any moisture testing and advise how to proceed. Defo go with a stick down lvt. So much better wear wise and easy to replace any planks that get damaged or badly scratched.

Product itself is fine, choose it and find a decent independent company to quote you for the full works.
Thanks for all the advice it is really appreciated. Part of the flooring that we are going to replace is currently laminate. I presume this will have to be lifted and have some work done to the sub floor before the LVT can go down? Apart from moduleo what are the other LVT brands you would recommend? As others have said there’s a lot on the market, there’s very few that aren’t too clever (glue down) best advice is to find a local quality installer and see what they’re running. As Daz said we do quite a lot of QS Pulse, LG Harmony, Luvanto in your price range or cheaper and not had issues with them as yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What we are looking at getting is the TEGOLA ELITE DB PLANK 24219 light oak. It is only 2.5mm thick. Is that ok? Thanks
It's Carina by Natural Solutions. (We think?!) Can't find a dryback version of it anywhere on the Cr website though - just the click. 2.5mm is pretty much par for the course with LVT. It's the wear layer you want to be looking at. Even then, some really thick wear layers are pants compared to other thinner ones.
