Hey guys I’m going to be moving into a new property in 3-4 weeks time. I’m going to be having lvt in my hallway and living room but I understand the floors need to be near perfect. which levelling compound do you guys use that doesn’t need a primer? Thanks
If I’m honest I’m not sure I was under the impression it added time to the whole process Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Primer should always be used with every compound Theres no such thing as a best compound as such it is dependent on the subfloor as what is best to use
I’ve just had a look on the Ardex website and it’s states there no need for priming. It’s a concrete sub floor I’ve posted a picture below Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s true, technically it will bond without priming... but a primer will stop the compound drying to quickly to absorbent subfloors (which your’s is) and improve the flow, thus a better finish. “If you’ve got the time prime” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ll revise the question lol which compound would you use with a primer ? How long do you have to let the primer go off for before screeding ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Has any one used bostik screedmaster ultimate before and what’s your opinions on it ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
