Whats a fair price to charge for joins as a subby? row cut, sealed and koolglide joins with me providing tape. Doorways £20 and £10 a linear metre for the rest is what i was thinking but the going rates fine as i certainly aint doing them for free anymore
You gotta charge for joins! My old boss was getting paid for joins in the 80s lol. I saw one of his old invoices from Allders department store Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes had it since june, brilliant tool. Yeah well i rarely did joins so the odd one i didnt fuss over, but always thought it was just sad not to pay someone for it and expect all the fitters to produce good joins and spend time on em. My joins have come a long way and i now do the best ones on the company so im not about to produce them for free anymore cause he keeps giving them all to me
Kool glide best bit of kit I have ever bought , do you find your joins have improved because of the way you can now.do them ?
Definitely, row finding has made the bigger difference though for me. The koolglide really helps on thicker piles, stuff like sensations just wants to fold into itself when you try to seam with a normal iron i find.
But yeah, produces a better join on everything with it. Wish the better tapes were available over here though
Kookglide is brilliant. Great for loops on victoria and Brockway backing that arnt straight when you cut down the row Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did you both get those seam sealer glue gun sticks ? I use the roberts stuff in the bottle and find it to be good, nothing to compare it to though
I bought one, used it on some sisal but does seem to leave it a bit proud , although that was first time I used it ! Merit there brilliant for wonky looped carpet agreed !! Really come in to play then
