I wonder if you might be able to give me some advice please ? We did a job last summer sanding and refinishing a herringbone block parquet floor using Juncquers prelak and finishing clear lacquer ; we gave it 2 coats of prelak and 3 top coats. We did uncover one issue which was that some of the joins we had filled appeared to have some contamination possibly as some of the edges came up with what I can only describe as a sparking ameaba looking finish. We sanded these back again and finished the job. On completion the job looked good , the client was happy although these shiny edges were still coming through but the client was happy. The client rang me last week as the floor has deteriorated quite fast and it now looks nothing like it looked when we left it. Frankly I am quite taken aback by its appearance and don’t understand how the floor could look like this ? Do you have any ideas on what has caused this and why ? I am having difficulties uploading photos but if anyone out there thinks they might be able to help i can email across photos of the completed job and photos of how the floor looks now Kind Regards Mark
