Hi all I would really appreciate some feedback about a job I’ve had done yesterday. Carpets were fitted to my loft conversion. I think that the carpet should have extended out of the room and been attached under the lip of the top step. Please would you look at my pics and give me your expert advice. Can this be remedied if so how?
Oh dear. It looks like it’s only been measured to the doorway. You could put a bar in and have another bit of carpet over the step. The option to use a bar or run it through should of been discussed at the estimate stage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If there was enough carpet and he’s just cut it off and left it like that it’s just lazy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If it was being finished there he could of at least used a single doorplate to finish it instead of cutting it wonky and securing it with drawing pins Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Merit, there was enough carpet and he didn’t discuss it with me before cutting it that way. If he does put in a bar/ double bar would the carpet on the step-side of the bar keep pulling away from the gripper?
It'll be fine if he fits it correctly but a bit of spray on the threshold and around the step won't hurt.
Yeah exactly. Some jobs have bars under the door some don’t. As long as it’s fitted correctly it will be fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thats just lazy It should have been discussed how it was to finished and it looks it was cut with a spoon
