    Hi,

Just thought I'd ask to see what people are generally using for above types of flooring. I currently float between Ardex CL with primer or Stopgap 1200 and primer depending on customer budget, subfloor and how quickly they need the job done.

Please post which latex's you generally use and why and for which type of flooring, sharing is caring :O)

Don't you fine it annoying when you sand CL the extreme fine dust? I use a hoover these days to counter.

Arditex na for most refurb works (never had a failure with it) although I do like the flow on Mapeis na. Better than 1200 imo.
Ardex k39 for new builds as it’s the best product on the market for flow!
Uzin products are good but expensive.
Tried tile master as people keep banging on about them but I’m not that impressed too be honest.

Don't sand it down Good ventilation when its drying is all thats needed !!!
Sanding causes unnecessary mess and you can end up polishing the surface which can prohibit adhesives soaking in sufficiently

Whats the advantage of 300HD vs 1200? They seem a similiar price but obviously no fussing around with 1200 and therefore quicker.

@Floorever I've never got on with NA, for me too thick when spreading and for me again doesn't dry as quick as 1200 but it's individual choice. I'm sure we all have our own little ways about things.

@Spacey I'm not sure I could not sand CL if large area or any nature light, I am paranoid I guess. I never want to go back... well only to the Mrs but I have no choice there o_O

Seems 300HD is mostly suitable to new builds. It doesn't go over old glue residual or bitumen. If 300 has to be used on area with old glue residue then this have to be scabberfryed first. So for me no use maybe if I did new-build type work fine. Info from F Balls rep ^^

300 dries very hard hence the Heavy duty bit You can't put something very hard over something soft like adhesive residue or bitumen so in those circumstances you need to use something that is also soft like 1200 or NA

300 is fine over trace adhesive and old ata adhesive if it’s minimal. It’s made by fball they know floor layers are going to abuse it.

1200 dries to fast imo and is not as good as Ardex NA or Mapie NA

I prefer 1200 but thats mainly because I reckon its alot easier to latex with plus abit cheaper.

By the way in next couple of weeks the new Ardex NA formula will hit the market, it wont be branded 2.0 simply upgraded. According to Rep, better flow and drying properties.
