Hi guys, I have been to a job today that has lvt fitted and the latex has failed and flooring has bubbled in an area of direct sunlight but no where else. When we pulled it up it looks like a one coat dpm has been used ( black possibly bostik??) It’s a cement subfloor. The latex has pulled the dpm off the floor any ideas? Floor has been tested and hardly any moisture. Any ideas?
I’m not sure. I’ve only been called on to have a look / fix it. I’m guessing bostik one coat dpm by colour and I assume bostik latex. The screed is bonded to the dpm. But Why would screed pull it away from subfloor?
Your lvt gone over 27 degrees in the direct light so your stuffed anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Screed not prepped properly. Possibly dpm on dust or soft screed. Possibly DPM not applied soon enough after mixing. DPM too thick or not allowed to set long enough... could be lots of reasons.
If it’s Bostik it could also be products. Their screeds and dpms are shocking. Very inconsistent which I always find a bit worrying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
