How`s everyone doing ? Its a struggle where we are, with nearly everywhere empty. Ive a site survey tomorrow which is a 340 mile round trip, and 3 other vans all with less than 100 miles range.
All out. Got half a tank and working local this week. All measures cancelled. Luckily I’m working within 20 mins of yard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Luckily, i shouldn't need to use the sprinter this week and don't have anything too far away, so half a tank in the little van should last all week. I remember when i was doing new builds about 20years ago, i used to fill the tank 3 times a week and when we had the shortage then,i was getting phone calls from the company i was doing work for, telling me where they had heard had fuel, it was a nightmare, with the amount of work coming in at the moment, this is the last thing you guys doing distance work need
1/2 a tank, once it’s gets to 50 miles I’ll look for more, but f I can’t find anything I’ll be at home, world ha gone nuts
Nightmare for everyone ! Managed my trip today as I found fuel and filled the car. I took it slow, and managed there and back on just over half a tank. Our local service station has done us proud and has held some fuel back for us. I take all my vans and cars there for service, so luckily, they have topped up 2 of our vans today, so we can keep working. There were ques outside all the stations which had fuel from 5am this morning when I left.
We've a petrol station on the same site as the shop. Word got out a delivery was coming - so the pub carp park filled up as overflow and our billboards on the back of the showroom glare down over it. Had a couple come in and look around..
Yeah people are the problem as usual. My customer today said their next door neighbour went and filled both cars up and then went on holiday for 2 weeks. Joke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Actually Daz I've filled with vpower quite often and on a tank we only talking 20 odd mile difference, van seems to run better on it aswell mate
Got told today from a mate that he was in a garage and in front was an elderly man who was unsure how to use the pump, he put £7.66 in as that's all he had room for..
This and the panic buying of food last year, shows you what people are really like, if there is ever a real serious crisis, we're all fucked
I think rather than putting a maximum spend on at the moment, there should be a minimum. Say £40 even if you can only get £5 worth in. That would stop pricks like the above pulling into every station they see to top up.
Not capping it at our local garage. I put £40 in but most people will fill up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not a cap, but a minimum charge. That would stop the twats who spend 2 hours queing then put £2.04 in
