Hi Jason I’m doing the exact same flooring next week same colour as well but it porch tho to hallway door in to lounge, turning left in to kitchen diner, that’s basically through to a conservatory. Customer wants it Centered down middle of lounge and middle of dining area. Any tips on setting out never done basket weave before, moved more into LVT from my fitting wood fitting days. But it looks like a challenge on the brain laugh out loud, they are having a larger plank border with design strip so I was just thinking border 1st and then the field, but any tips on setting out would be great thanks in advance

My border plank was 4 inch wide I think. Is the customer having the field run into through each room? If so you gonna have to check your lines so it doesnt look odd. Normally get hallway straight first but youre gonna see how that falls in lounge/diner and if it works. If you go off the lounge/diner but on wonk for hallway that wont work may have to separate. Anyways mine was easy I got my 2 centre lines and then use the Amitco square to set up. Row at a time. Fitted border/feature strip first then field.

Hi Jason thanks for the advise it is a very awkward 1 lobby is off set from hall, lounge and diner are L shaped so here there and every where laugh out loud , did you you run a couple of tram lines down the width of the square or just do the 90 and the 45
    Regards Steve

You could try getting a centre line from outside wall and see how it lands on lounge/diner and hallway.. My job was easy so i pinged 2 lines to find the centre of the room. Obviously using the square as a diamond as per design. Remember the square goes opposite each row ie row 1 all vertical and row to right all horizontal, see pic 2.
