I am having to take up my LVT as it is damaged (that’s another story/thread) Any reviews on howdens laminate? We can’t afford more LVT so going to use howdens laminate with their underlay and the sealant that helps make it water resistant in the seams. Really hoping it looks ok and is practical!

Why do you have to take up the LVT?

I know quickstep is more expensive, but pretty much everyone on here would recommend it, after already losing money on one floor, it might be worth spending the extra, rather than take the chance on something cheaper and risking losing more money, even if it means waiting a bit longer

I can’t seem to find any laminate colours that I like by quickstep! Howdens have a new colour out that you can use the hydro seal with.

It is all dented, has moved away and uneven! :( combination of the wrong underlay used, 3m ply being underneath the underlay and the way it’s been fitted according to quickstep!

The hydro seal is built into the laminate. look at elka or loc. both made at Unilin

A family member is in rented accommodation with a Howdens Kitchen and Laminate fitted that went in just before they moved in 5 years ago. The Howdens Laminate is shot to bits and the top surface is delaminating all over, the boards are gapping and moving and joints peaking.

The floor is meticulously maintained with no mopping or excessive moisture used for cleaning, it's just cr@p.

I would recommend a quality brand like Quickstep or Parador.

I don't fit their laminates anymore, hit and miss with theirs I found.
The last 2 rooms I did in their range a few of the headers came apart pretty easily.

Quick step or egger for me

Quickstep only. Howdens own brand is not great
