I keep getting asked to add a feedback thread by people who have attended a FloorSkills or any other training course or FREE open day. So here is the thread ! Lets here what you have to say. Positive and negative feedback is welcome in here. After all if you was not happy with a FloorSkills course we would like to know so we can improve for future course. FloorSkills wants everyone to be 100% happy with training / demonstrations that FloorSkills offer. www.floorskills.co.uk
Advanced lvt course jan 2012 Positives - a great course with a lot of different products demonstrated with dpm primers latexs glues and lvt click then lvt curved border demo with hands on experience Negatives - matts buffet lunch had pork pies I hate pork pies why would anyone choose to eat that stuff
Advanced LVT in jan too. Great course, Matt was trainer and we covered damp, screed, adhesives, click flooring and LVT design. Liked the way we did other things too like tool chat, also carpet and welding too tips too. Good debate on plywood too. Also if it's a 2-3 day course the tech pub comes into play. Things to improve. maybe a area to sit down with some literature to help remember what we have been doing. Looking forward to my next one.
New training center is being built as we speak. You have hit the nail on there head there Daz, we need a proper conference area that you can view course detail. I have requested this already. New place will host a conference area with videos of how we done it etc to re-wind at your leasure etc if your unsure of something. Cant wait unyil its finished being built.
No, we have another center being built ! Going to be our head training center. Its located in solihull about 1/2 mile from motorway. The training area is 3000sqft ! then we have a second floor being built. Full of tech also daz and a hotel next door also with 26 rooms for us along with 2 bars and bbq area etc ...... Going to be impressive mate
End of June. Dont worry we will be having a open day with BBQ etc for ALL forum members. Anyway, enough said already.
Was at the 3 day LVT advanced course and agree with what everyone above has said it`s spot on! Only problem I`ve got it`s a bit of a nightmare coming down from Scotland for it, if you could find somewhere that you could use as a training center up north and manage to make it feasible i,e get enough people to attend, which I`m sure you could it would be a great advantage as there is nothing like what you have got north of the border. There is a college that does apprenticships in Glasgow can`t remember the name of it but they must have bays of some sort and areas for working in so maybee worth a look at Matt. Will try and find out the name of the college.
LVT basic to advanced The course was excellent , I took notes of most things apart from the important part the fitting !! So some literature would be good as its quite a lot to take in and remember
lvt basic to advanced, great course Matt but big negative was it was too bloody hot when I did it never seen mapei's pressure sensitive stick like that before ha ha.
I did the advanced vinyl/lino course last week, learnt some great tips that will make a huge difference to the quality and the speed of my work, cant wait to do the advanced lvt course now, cheers for upping my game Mat and Dave.
Daz, the new hotel has a Tech Bar with sky sports. It also has a curry house built into one place! I did things backwards. I found best accommodation (well maybe not best, shall we say 'well priced' accommodation) , curry , bar and then looked for a unit local to it.
Just to add some feedback i received by email - Matt Just a quick thanks for sorting out that bespoke course for us. I learnt more in those 2 days than all the other courses Ive been on put together. It's deffo sorted me out on stuff that I should have learnt a long time ago and can't wait to get back to work next week. Best course Ive ever done mate. The above Feedback was Forum user - G4L. Many thanks for the great feedback.
Looking forward to information notes on the USB for the LVT course and to anyone thinking of doing the course , all I can say I learnt more in 2 days than I have in the last 10 years ! It's all the little tips that I found so helpful
Do not discuss this on an open forum! The reason Matt is making them on USB's is if they fall into the wrong hands they will self destruct!
