Anyone ever seen a tool / bit of kit you thought was the best thing you seen but turned out to be worst buy ever, mine was the power8 workshop why buy 8 different tools when this has them all in one, well what a pile of horse ****e
i got the exact hooover/vaccum Epic fail is all i can say used it a couple times, lost the head with it and kicked it round the room lol
Evolution chop saw, couldn't get the blades out of it so they give me the money back. First tool I bought was a 3 in 1 jigsaw, drill, sander by black and decker. Jigsaw went flat after cutting about 20 planks.
LOL they're only ribbish if you don't know how to set them up correctly. Sounds like opperator error to me LOL. Who wants a lesson then on how to use the edge beveller corectly and set it up right. I charge by the minute. Worst tool I got cheap screw drivers tips just keep on snapping. Got a snap on spanner once the rep said its indestructable, we'll see about that I'm thinking. And yep I broke it a month later LOL, saw the rep and showed him my broken spanner, he was how on earth did you do that, does it matter you said it was indestructable, and in typical snap on fashion he swapped it for a new one. Gotta love those snap on guys break it and you get a new. Wish all tools came with the same policy as snap on.
By faffing up a few boxes of tiles until you get it spot on, ah but then it needs re-adjusting for Amtico entre number 2 always have 2 set for each. And stop curving stuff the whole country has gone mad for curves again, seems to be like a fashion trend going out and coming back in. I remember doing loads of curved stuff back in the mid 90's, then everyone went back to straight lines and squares now its curves and elipses rrrrrrr. Granted curves are a pain to bevel but with a little patience and concentration it can be achieved, the outer radius can be done with the usual tool, but the inner radius well there lies the problem. Use and exacto tool for inner curve and with some practice and filing off of the 90degree corners of the blade it works with a VERY steady hand.
Do a wee video and post on youtube help all the chaps who can't do it out (not me of course as I am Peter Perfect but will have a peek to see if you are doing it right)
I brought a janser beveler didn't take enough off adjust it took to much off adjust wrong again to much time wasted next step throw it in the van never to be used or seen again, running a knife down it does just a good result ( in my opinion ) but as jay said and matt showed on the course exacto cutter works well
I think is going to be my next by looks like it would be really handy. http://0163c60.netsolhost.com/Design/Tools/TrimmingBlades.html
Where do you find things like that Jay! good to see you back was worried not herd from you recently. Steve
One word Steve RESEARCH, yes I know I'm sad but when I'm bored I type random things into Google just to see what I can find along with many other search engines. Mind you I took that from the US site TFP, looks like they got some very usefull tools for welding on there too. Plus they will ship to the UK. Looking at that tool thought it is just a soldering iron with some fabricated attachments the bonus its 120v so good for site use.
