    large block !

Lots really good mate. Pain in the backside with no boarder also.

Is there a reason why no boarder?

    you installed skirts also?

was it pre-finished flooring or you sand + seal also?

    Looks spot on mate.

    Thanks for the cooms guys...

yep bit of an odd dimension board but looked REALY nice... The client didn't want any border work just a continuous h'bone pattern from wall to wall!!!

Yep skirts also installed, pre-finished MDF 169mm Torus, nice perimeter finish...

The productS were both Ted Todd pre-finished - The dark stain oak in their living room with the smoked oak in the hallway & play room...

What do u think of the acoubond system, is it effective?

Looking at that liquid battens I'm thinking why am I doing full stick down? That must save a fortune in glue. It wouldn't work on 15mm engineered tho would it? Not get problems with the hollow spots?

only for use up to 160mm wide, not for me rather use p990 1k full stick although that comes as a sausage also.

160mm wide solid or engineered? Will Sika not guarantee it on a wider board?

i use system a lot on various products (Eng. & Solid) with no issues, quicker application & ability to compensate for deviations in subfloor. I am currently installing 150m2 21mm eng. oak in a beautiful new barn conv. in Buckinghamshire onto 100m2 concrete screed 50m2 chipboard. have also used onto existing old floorboards & tiles with no hitches... a very good option & worth considering for any wood installs 8¬) bit more 'nu skool' than fully bond method, might take a bit of adjusting for the old schoolers... LOL of course

Here's something to consider. When you use the liquid batten adhesive to take out the uneveness in the subfloor what do you think will happen if it goes wrong and the guy who comes to do a report says you havent installed onto a subfloor according to BS8201:2011. 3mm over 2m.

Apart from being in the **** the system tends to leave hollow sound and is no way as good as fully bonding.

That's strange! So it's ok to float engineered over 160mm but not stick it down with liquid battens!!
