With builder as we speak and manager of said shop and he came to conclusion it is a little loose haha I asked him about the 2 direction join and then I found this


And there's me thinking you should have tape on both pieces :0

Errr speechless I daren't say what I want to say but it involves a lot of swearing.

 

Is he blind? That can be the only explanation, it's a blind carpet fitter.

 

I'm truly shocked..... Their fitting is that bad but they own a heat seamer

 

I can't believe they got the gripper the right way round

Stuck the gripper but looks like they nailed the doorbar, hope it wasn't underfloor heating

 

That's crap alright, complete and utter s@@t fitting all round.

 

Well after 2 hours of the ship boss trying to get out off it he is supplying a whole house of carpet for free and paying me to re fit it, he didn't want to as he didnt know my standard of fitting and wanted a demo so I had to re do two winders for him to see with what was on them already

not the best but like I told him I'm a vinyl fitter not a carpet fitter but he wants me and mate to subbie for him so he can sack the other 2 off

I think everyone is overreacting !
I can`t see anything there that can`t be sorted with a little spray adhesive, stretching, tucking, refitting gripper, underlay, bolstering, re-seaming, re placing doorbars.........
Hmm, maybe eaiser to replace the f.. lot

best seaming i've ever seen first time i saw the pic i thought it was a slash through the carpet.
