    Hi folks,

I'm fitting some Camaro woodplank in our own bedroom tomorrow. Initially I was intending fitting on the diagonal with a border but now the planks are here I have been having a play around with them and think I would prefer them fitted straight (still with a border). Its a fairly small room 360 x 300cm.

I know its down to personal taste in the end but just wondered if any of you guys who fit lvt's day in and day out had any opinion on this ? Once the furniture is in there will basically just be the 1m or so round the bed visible and we will only see the border on basically two walls. The tile is Nut tree with a walnut marquetry strip if that helps in any way.

    Cheers

    Ray

Surely your border won't stand out as much if you straight lay the field? Unles your border is a different colour?

    diagonal mate.

Personally i think it looks better, but it also hides any run out in the walls.

Border will be the same tile. Having dry fitted a corner with the strip I think it looks fine. The border on the main wall where it will be most visible will be running in the opposite direction to the field.

At the end of the day Mrs Carpetman will probably decide which avenue we travel down here ! :D

Aye aye Mike. To be honest the main reason I am doing border is just so I can have a play around !

Diagonal seems to be the opinion of the pro's though ! lol

F 46. Its the only glue I have ever used for LVT's. Never had to do a conservatory or such like where HT would be required.

Do you have any other strips to add to the brown strip. A nice cream one added would look great.

Daz has a good point mate, light strip can make a border pop quite nicely

Yep we did look at a few options. Decided to keep it simple and just have the single strip. Thats the good thing about lvt though....the options are endless really.
