    I'm surprised you haven't taken the border over the half landing riser equal? Is that how you normally do it? Is the border seamed on?

    By the way I'm not knocking it mate, Ive never done a border like that so just asking. Bottom step looks good

    The riser steps in then out mate. Be un even if he kept it full width

    The border is a cotton tape machine stitched on the face 2" wide either side,so when the runner comes down the steps it hits the newel post,which eats into the border by 1",so i narrow the border by an inch so it will meet the border on the bottom flight either side.
    You are governed by the border size around the newel by the 2 flights of stairs,the inner side of the tape will *always match up
    Hopefully you understand now
    If i go back there i will take a better pic to show this better

    are you stitching/binding yourself or having it pre done for you ?

    Yeah I get what you have done there, I think it's because I've not seen a border that thin on a full fit stair.

    Do you have to cut it all net then get it bound?

    First time I've done it full width,normally only do it with narrow runners.
    Looked really good though

    Yeah first I took carpet there,cut it all nett then sent it off to get the tape stitched on

    Yes I have but no pics,the pics here are from signature carpets which I have done in the past
