Anyone used this screed before? We tested it and it seamed good. The amtico dude said it can go over anything and has a guarantee. Can't see that myself. Also he recommends mapei ultra plan Eco. Anyone used that.
ultra plan eco is a mapie water based. Just so all are understanding here. Renovation screed and Latexplan Trade that we all keep talking about are BUDGET Mapei products but still have a very good flow and strength properties. The best stuff 'eco plan' , 'fibreplan' etc. well they are the top stuff mapie make. They cost more as are of much higher quality. They tend to be around the same sort of money as say Fballs 300 & 700.
Think it's water mix Dan. Didn't use that one. We tested in the screed area Mapei trade plan top right That schonox bottom right A uzin which was very good bottom left, a bit like 300 forgot top left. Do you know Mike?
Did you say a while ago Matt some mapei was not made over here but imported in? We did wood screeds too and the fibre plan was very good flow and very strong but had a bit of a dust film on it the following morning
Correct, products like the eco plan one that is one of the best flowing products around but as its imported costs more per bag than say renovation screed. Personally i think mapei should start making the eco plan screed in U.K as its a really good product. We will see.
http://www.netweber.co.uk/tile-fixing-products/weber-products/products/prep-preparation-products/weberfloor-flex.html Around same price as renovation screed.
Best price ive found from here http://www.tiletown.co.uk/default.aspx?pageID=971 Works out around £5 cheaper than 700 and is much better no nasty dust particles.
That's the one I said about a while. Does everything according to the bag but you try finding a stockist.
The Schonox AP is a gypsum self leveller. Takes much longer to dry than a traditional cement based screed.
Good afternoon chaps, im the GM of the company mentioned selling the weber floorflex, if anyone needs any prices let me know, we can delivery all over the uk. (sorry for blatant plug btw!)
