    Hey,

Just wondering either to get a loan or finance out on a van to get me started on my own. What route did you guys go down? Did you get a loan out or finance the van?

    Cheers fellas!

I financed my van, at the time it worked out better to do so..
Only thing id think just now, is that it prob be easier to get vehicle finance than trying to get the bank to give you money! lol

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. Do you have to go through a dealer or can you go private seller way?

    Cheers anyway chap!

Ahh right, ok. Do you need a absolutly great credit rating? I don't really have one if I am honest. Thats why I will need to look into it. However, I have regular money going into my account on a weekly basis as that is what I am on at work. Weekly payments.

What about leasing one a bloke I work with does it he has a new van every 2 years with it and can sign write it, works out a little more than finance but never has a van older than 2 years

Ahh right, never thought of that. Gonna look into it. Sign writing is out of the window as the shop I work for would probably drop me if I got my van sign written, haha.

    Cheers bud.

Magnetic ones are good take them off 2 min before you turn up for work and stick them back on when you finish

Finance Dunt bother! get yourself a W reg smiley transit parts are cheap you can fix them yourself and dont have to pay big dealer fees when summat goes wrong, if your new to being self employed its up and down so id rather not be paying out for a van when it goes quiet and it does on occasions, best van i had was the old smiley id have one today if they had the newer engine and interier haha
