The only problem with that Blinco is if they find out - then you will have no insurance cover at all!!!

I pay £313.00 fully comp. for my transit - me only to drive and unlike most other policies I am not insured to drive any other vehicle - even third party.

Thinking of moving back to Scotland, thats if I can find the work. Sick of London and what it doesn't have to offer.

Done everything I can think of Dan, decent flyers, email letters to designers/builders. Local newspapers are a joke £300 for a ****ey little ad per week. 2 builders I done work for have went tits up and a big job worth thousands (Matt knows about it as Sid done a report on it) they have decided not to go ahead so flat on my arse. Missus is in half decent job but they are looking to "restructure" soon so a right shi**y time right now mate

Don't sound good mate, I've had a few of those times but luckily something would come along and sort me out for the next few month. Any big shops near you? I never liked working for them but good for a back up.

Be honest mate and fell out with most of them due to reducing rates to stupid (one was day rate for £60 for doing Karndean with no fuel etc!) others won't touch as van sign written and they want you to be "their" fitter but pay your own tax etc.

That's Taking the ****, £60 day rate! I'm not surprised you fell out with them! There are a lot of shops that don't look after the fitters unfortunately and they still seem to get a big chunk of the work. Nicf works well for me but nearly every other fitter I speak to says its rubbish for them.
