I had a carpet the other day, was like £80 + m2 it had some dirty marks on it but customer just wanted it down. Personally I would have sent it back, sometimes it feels like they don't even get quality checked. Its rediculious.

when i used to work as a trainer for brintons we had a training area on a mez floor looking over the warehouse.

Every day you would hear one the lads on the forklift damage a carpet with the boon.

Warehouse staff used to hate me as i would jump straight up and stop them, make them unroll carpet to see what damage they have done.

Brintons on the other hand was happy that i was pointing out which carpets had just been damaged.

Boils down to staff that dont give a crap and going at daft speeds rather than being careful. Amazing how after the one lad got sacked how they all slowed down and started to take care.

We use to always get black marks in the Brintons carpets. Always sent them back

I remember a rep telling us to employ 2/3 people to check every carpet isn't worth the money and it costs less to just send it out and replace if needed.

    Not a great attitude really
