I'm just removing some old safety flooring in preparation to laying 2mm polysafe standard. The old stuff is coming up ok but in places taking up the old screed. So at the moment I've got areas of no screed and areas of old adhesive. I was planning to prime with diluted 131 and use Ardex na but do I need to remove all the old adhesive or just give it a scrape? Thanks.
if you get most of the old addy off with a scraper, and the old screed is solid then you should be able to go over with na imo
If you already have 131 and you want to use that you may aswell but as your using Ardex product their primer I'd really worth trying
yeh, it should do, but i been finding 131 a bit rubbery lately and peels off etc (like copydex on your hand etc) tried 51 and its solid, have some eco prim t to try out as well
stick with a system John. Use same brand primer and compound, dont mix systems. NA is fine for what you are doing providing the old adhesive etc is stuck o.k.
